University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Athletics

George is a graduate of Westfield High School. While at UW-Whitewater he won a total of eleven letters in football, basketball, baseball and track. He earned four of these in one year. He was a captain of the basketball team and received the American Legion Medal for scholarship and athletics. After graduating in 1930, George taught and coached in many high schools in Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota. His high school career also includes being a principal and a business manager. George is active in Boy Scouts and Sunday school work. Elected to the Hall of Fame, 1976.
