Full 2018-19 Schedule
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's basketball team has released its 2018-19 game schedule, which includes 11 non-conference games and 14 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contests.
The Warhawks will begin the new campaign Nov. 13 at Anderson (Ind.), a team they defeated last season by a 79-70 score in Whitewater.
UW-Whitewater competes against 2018 NCAA Tournament qualifier St. John's (Minn.) for its home opener Nov. 16 at Kachel Gymnasium and hosts Concordia Wisconsin one day later to complete the weekend.
After a visit to 2018 Midwest Conference champion and NCAA participant Monmouth (Ill.) on Nov. 20, the Warhawks host three straight non-conference games, taking on Beloit on Nov. 27, Calvin (Mich.) on Dec. 7 and Alma (Mich.) on Dec. 8.
UW-Whitewater visits Ripon on Dec. 15 and Loras (Iowa) on Dec. 21 before wrapping up the calendar year with a two-game trip to Austin, Texas, to face 2018 NCAA qualifier Sul Ross State and host Concordia Texas on Dec. 28-29.
The Warhawks start their WIAC slate Jan. 2 at UW-Stevens Point, which reached the third round of last year's NCAA Tournament. The return game is scheduled for Feb. 6 at Kachel Gymnasium.
Other highlights include a showdown against defending national runner-up UW-Oshkosh at home on Jan. 16, followed one week later by a trip to 2018 NCAA third round qualifier UW-Platteville on Jan. 23.
One week later, UW-Whitewater visits UW-Oshkosh on Jan. 30 to complete the home-and-home series. The Warhawks host UW-Platteville (Feb. 13) and UW-River Falls (Feb. 16) to complete the regular season schedule.
The WIAC Tournament is scheduled to be played Feb. 19, Feb. 21 and Feb. 23. The NCAA Tournament begins with the regional rounds March 1-2 and continues one week later with the sectional rounds March 8-9.
The NCAA Championship (semifinals + final) is slated for March 15-16 at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum Arena in Fort Wayne, Ind.
UW-Whitewater was ranked as high as No. 2 in the nation by D3hoops.com in 2017-18 before finishing the year with a 16-10 record and reaching the first round of the WIAC Tournament.
