Women's Tennis to Host NCAA Regional Friday-Sunday

The No. 34 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's tennis team will host seven teams for the first three rounds of the NCAA Division III Championship this Friday-Sunday.
 
The Warhawks (19-6 overall) will face Concordia Wisconsin, the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference champion, on Friday at 9 a.m. at Premier Tennis and Fitness in Janesville.
 
Other first-round matchups include No. 28 Gustavus Adolphus (Minn.) against St. Scholastica at 12 p.m., and Grinnell (Iowa) against Coe (Iowa) at 3 p.m.
 
No. 10 Chicago has a bye to the second round and will face the winner of the Grinnell-Coe match on Saturday at 3 p.m. The other winners will play Saturday at 11:30 a.m.

Sunday's regional championship match is scheduled for 12 p.m.

All of Friday's matches will take place at Premier Tennis and Fitness in Janesville, while Saturday's and Sunday's contests will be played at Wangerin Courts on the UW-Whitewater campus.
 
UW-Whitewater claimed its 11th straight Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship in the fall and won the WIAC Team Tournament on April 28 to punch a ticket to the NCAA Tournament for the 11th consecutive year.

Match 1 – UW-Whitewater vs. Concordia Wisconsin, 9 a.m.
Match 2 – Gustavus Adolphus vs. St. Scholastica, 12 p.m.
Match 3 – Grinnell vs. Coe, 3 p.m.
 
Saturday, May 12 (Wangerin Courts, Whitewater):
Match 4 – Winner of Match 1 vs. Winner of Match 2, 11:30 a.m.
Match 5 – Winner of Match 3 vs. Chicago, 3 p.m.
 
Sunday, May 13 (Wangerin Courts, Whitewater):
Match 6 – Winner of Match 4 vs. Winner of Match 5, 12 p.m.
