Day 1 Recap
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's track and field teams posted several impressive results on the second and final day of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Championships (Presented by Culver's) at UW-Stevens Point.
The No. 6 Warhawk men placed second with a final score of 105, while the 17th-ranked women finished sixth with a score of 51.50.
Senior
Matt Green (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) scored a victory in the triple jump for his first-ever conference title. He posted a mark of 47-07.25 (14.51 meters) and remains among the top five in the nation in the event. Sophomore
Tanner Stephens (Nekoosa, Wis./Nekoosa) placed third in the event with a 46-02.00 (14.07 meters).
Freshman
Brian Kuehl (Geneva, Ill./Geneva) claimed the title in the 800-meter run with a mark of 1:55.20 and remains among the nation's top 15 in the event. Senior teammate
Alec Meixelsperger (Middleton, Wis./Middleton) was close behind with a 1:56.08, good for third place.
Junior
Dylan Ferger (Beloit, Wis./Beloit Turner) leapt into the top 15 in the country in the high jump with a height of 6-08.75 (2.05 meters), good for third place. Freshman
Jake Lautenschlager (Omro, Wis./Omro) finished seventh with a 6-02.75 (1.90 meters).
Four Warhawks placed among the top seven in the 60-meter hurdles. Sophomore
Alex Duff (Oregon, Wis./Oregon) matched his season best with a time of 8.17, good for runner-up honors. Sophomore

Robert Martin (Bangor, Wis./Bangor) and sophomore
Quentin Mendez (Beloit, Wis./Memorial) placed 5-6-7, with Jackson crossing the finish line in 8.36, Martin in 8.45 and Mendez in 8.46.

Logan Meier (Oregon, Wis./Oregon), sophomore
Kiley Lofy (Lake Geneva, Wis./Badger) and senior
Logan Zeien (Belvidere, Ill./Belvidere) finished fifth in the race with a 3:24.40. The same group currently ranks 19th in the nation.
Senior
Parker Witt (Appleton, Wis./Appleton North) finished fourth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.98, and freshman
Thomas Kelly (Brown Deer, Wis./Brown Deer) matched his preliminary time of 7.10, good for eighth. Witt currently ranks sixth in NCAA Division III in the event.
Witt added another medal in the 200-meter dash, placing sixth with a 22.67.
On the women's side, senior
Lindsay Chase (Whitewater, Wis./Whitewater) picked up her first WIAC championship in the weight throw, just missing her career best by one-half inch with a 57-01.50 (17.41 meters). She ranks among the top 10 in the nation in the event. Sophomore
Ally Bachara (Fox Lake, Ill./Grant) collected a sixth-place medal with a personal-record 51-00.75 (15.56 meters).

Megan Hering (Black Earth, Wis./Wisconsin Heights), senior
Enyo Amet (Racine, Wis./Prairie) and sophomore
Abbie Felton (Burlington, Wis./Shoreland Lutheran) vaulted to third in the country after adjustment for track size with a mark of 3:53.83, good for runner-up accolades.
Felton placed third in the 200-meter dash, clocking a time of 25.55. She ranks seventh in the nation in the race.
Both UW-Whitewater teams are scheduled to compete in last chance meets next week, beginning with the UW-Platteville Last Chance Meet on Friday, March 2, at 4 p.m.
