Three members of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater wrestling team finished second in their respective weight classes Saturday as the Warhawks hosted the Willie Myers Open at Kachel Fieldhouse.
 
Junior Christian Dischler (Pewaukee, Wis./Pewaukee), sophomore Zachary Hasselberger (Stoughton, Wis./Stoughton) and freshman Brogan Howard (Prineville, Ore./Crook County) each finished as a runner-up to lead UW-Whitewater.
 
Dischler placed second at 184 pounds with a 3-1 record, including to pins. Hasselberger posted a 4-1 record with two pins and one major decision, and Howard tallied a 2-1 mark with one fall.
 
Third-place finishers included juniors Sonny Schieldt (Edgerton, Wis./Edgerton) at 157 pounds, Jaime Valdez (Addison, Ill./Addison Trail) at 141, sophomores Riley Kauzlaric (Coal City, Ill./Coal City) at 197 and Wilder Wichman (Watertown, Wis./Johnson Creek) at 149.
 
Junior Nate Mlodzik (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek), sophomore Eli Were (Milwaukee, Wis./Brookfield Central) and freshman Mike Ordonez (River Forest, Ill./Oak Park River Forest) placed fourth at 174, 165 and 157 pounds, respectively.
 
The Warhawks placed two among the top eight at 285 pounds as junior Jordan Festge (Madison, Wis./Madison East) finished fifth and sophomore Nick Graziano (Midlothian, Ill./Oak Forest) was eighth.
 
UW-Whitewater resumes action Friday and Saturday, Jan. 26-27, at the annual Pete Willson-Wheaton Invitational in Wheaton, Ill. The two-day tournament begins Friday at 11 a.m. and continues Saturday at 10 a.m.
