Tom Pattison, a longtime member of the local media and "Voice" of Warhawk Football and Basketball, passed away on Monday, Oct. 17, at the age of 64 after a long battle against liver cancer.
Visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30, at Nitardy Funeral Home, located at 550 N. Newcomb, St., Whitewater, WI, 53190. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at Nitardy.
For more than 25 years, Pattison was an avid supporter of the Warhawks, working as a member of the local media and for the football and men's basketball booster clubs. He also volunteered with the athletic department to work on special projects, including advertising sales and corporate sponsorships.

"He wore many hats during his time working with our department as a valued member of the media, Quarterback and Tip-Off Clubs and corporate sponsorship and advertising team, and was a passionate fan of the Warhawks. We are forever grateful for Tom's contributions and are all better for having known him. He will be missed."
Starting in 1988, Pattison served as the "Voice" of UW-Whitewater athletics on 940 AM WFAW and KOOL 106.5 FM WKCH in Fort Atkinson. He broadcasted Warhawk national championships in men's basketball (1989), football (2007 and 2009) and volleyball (2002 and 2005).
In 2003, Pattison launched WarhawkFootball.com to promote Warhawk football. He owned and operated the website, which earned more than three million hits, until 2014, when he was diagnosed with Stage 4 liver cancer.
Pattison continued to be a passionate fan and promoter of UW-Whitewater athletics until his death.
Pattison earned the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's Tom Butler Award with radio partner Gary Douglas in 2010. Later that year, he was inducted into the UW-Whitewater Athletics Hall of Fame as a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award.
Pattison was inducted into the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2011.
A graduate of the Brown Institute of Broadcasting in Minneapolis, Minn., in 1973, Pattison's broadcasting career spanned 40 years. He made stops in Montana and Virginia before starting at WFAW in 1988.
Pattison also created the "Titletown Report" on the Green Bay Packers, which was broadcast on Goetz Radio Network from 1996-2002.
