Starting this fall, Quarterback Club meetings will be combined with the head coach's radio show on Kool 106.5 WKCH FM. In past years, the show had aired on Monday nights, with the club meetings held later in the week.
"We were able to combine these two signature events and create something that we feel will generate interest," said
Joe Carollo, Quarterback Club Vice President. "We envision an interactive environment along the lines of the Packers' Mike McCarthy Show with the goals of introducing more people to the program and club while generating business for our loyal sponsors."
The event will rotate among Salamone's Italian Pizzeria in Fort Atkinson and 841 Brewhouse, Saxe's Lone Star and Second Salem Brewing Company. Attendees wishing to purchase dinner will no longer do so through the Quarterback Club, but directly through the restaurant from a limited group menu. There is no charge to attend the show other than any food or beverages purchased from the restaurant.
Head coach
Kevin Bullis will arrive with one assistant coach and select UW-Whitewater student-athletes at approximately 6:30 p.m. Bullis will introduce the players in attendance at 6:45 before joining Gary Douglas, the Voice of Warhawk Football, on air at 7 p.m.
During the show, Bullis will discuss the previous week's game and upcoming opponent, and the assistant coach and players in attendance will be interviewed live on the air. Bullis will then take questions from the audience, possibly on air.
