The Warhawks (24-4 overall) will make the program's fourth ever appearance in the Round of 16, where they'll face No. 14 DePauw, which defeated Ohio Northern 5-0 in the regional's other second-round match.
Saturday's match will begin at 11 a.m. Central Time.
UW-Whitewater also set a school record for dual wins in one season, surpassing three teams previously tied for the top mark.
Against the Flying Dutch (20-5), UW-Whitewater took the first point in the match as freshmen
Alicia Beck (Bismarck, ND/St. Mary's Central) and
Jillian Wallace (Crystal Lake, IL/Central) combined for an 8-2 triumph at No. 2 doubles.
Hope took the remaining two doubles points to take a 2-1 advantage into singles.
The Warhawks trailed 3-1 after the first completed singles contest. Freshman
Bridgid McGuire (Slinger/Slinger) won a second-set tiebreaker en route to a 6-1, 7-6 (0) victory at No. 2 singles. Sophomore
Megan Humphreys (Kenosha/Tremper) tied the match at 3-3 with a 6-4, 6-3 win at the top position over Nancy Benda, who is ranked 15th in the Central Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
Beck put UW-Whitewater ahead for good, finishing off a 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 triumph at the No. 5 slot.
Amanda Dick (Kenosha/St. Joseph Catholic Academy), the Warhawks' lone senior, clinched the match by outlasting Kate Mader at the sixth position with a 6-4, 2-6, 6-3 victory.
