Men's Tennis Moves to Second Round with Win over CUW

The UW-Whitewater men's tennis team advanced to the second round of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III tournament with a 5-0 win over Concordia University (Wisconsin) Friday afternoon. The Warhawks will face Gustavus Adolphus College (20-7) Saturday, May 12 at 2:00 at the Wangerin Courts in Whitewater, Wisconsin.

The number one doubles team of McGlashen and Bayliss improved to 4-1 in flight and 21-6 overall in doubles competitions. Teammates Scanlan and Friend are 15-5 in the third flight of doubles and 18-7 overall this season.

The Warhawks are 22-7 in dual matches this season.

Washington University in St. Louis (15-6) and Coe College (23-7) will have the first game of the day Saturday with a scheduled start of 9:00. The winner of that match will face the winner of UW-W/Gustavus Adolphus Sunday, May 13 at 12:00.
