Tyler Slak Scoreboard Dedication Set

The UW-Whitewater men's and women's swimming and diving teams, along with the UW-Whitewater athletic department, invite you to join them in celebrating the life of swimming and diving alumnus Tyler Slak.  Slak passed away in 2010 after battling cancer.  In late 2010 the Slak family and members of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater athletic department started a fund to construct a state-of-the-art Tyler Slak Memorial Scoreboard in the Williams Center swimming pool at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.  The scoreboard will soon be in place and a dedication ceremony has been set for October 29 at 10:00 am.  This is the same day as the alumni swim meet for the men's and women's programs.

Following the dedication and alumni swim meet there will be a post-meet reception in room 183 BC of the Williams Center.  Afterwards, people are invited for a gathering at Rick's Eastside Pub located at 561 East Milwaukee Street in Whitewater.

The Slak family and University will continue soliciting donations for this important endeavor and request donations to be made to the UW-Whitewater Foundation, Inc. (Tyler Slak Memorial Scoreboard Fund). All donations are tax deductible and money will be used to purchase a state-of-the-art Daktronics scoreboard.  If you're interested in donating please contact Joel Rollings, 262-472-6235 or rollingj@uww.edu.
