The UW-Whitewater volleyball team gears up for the 2010 season ranked fourteenth in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Division III Top 25 poll.

The defending Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament champions look to be conference contenders again this season. The Warhawks are joined by two other WIAC schools in the top 25 including UW-Oshkosh ranked sixth and UW-Eau Claire at thirteenth.

The defending Division III champions, Washington University in St. Louis top the preseason poll.

UW-W begins the 2010 season Wednesday, September 1 with matches set against Edgewood College and Lawrence University in the Edgewood Triangular. Whitewater hosts their own triangular Wednesday, September 8 against Wisconsin Lutheran and Elmhurst College for the first home matches of the season.
