Kehoe, Machmueller Earn Academic Recognition

University of Wisconsin-Whitewater cross country runners Aron Kehoe and Dan Machmueller have earned an All-Academic Award from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The USTFCCCA All-Academic Award honors student-athletes who have excelled in the classroom and on the course. To be eligible for the award a student-athlete must carry a minimum 3.3 (4.0 scale) cumulative grade point average and finish in the top thrity-five at their respective National Collegiate Athletic Association regional meet.
Kehoe, an education major with a 3.53 cumulative GPA, finished twenty-second in the NCAA III regional and advanced to the Division III championship meet where he placed 125th. Kehoe has also been a NCAA III track and field qualifier, earning
Machmueller, a mathematics major, placed twenty-fifth at the NCAA III regional.
A total of 129 runners, representing 70 schools, earned the All-Academic Award for the 2009 men's season.
